[Bsa-troop85] PLC Meeting 2/17/14

Campout went well.  Several boys did not bring appropriate sleeping bags and
were cold.  Also, patrol food was too easy - no cooking for some meals.
Need to relate to parents not to allow sons to buy pre-made food so that we
can encourage boys to learn to cook.

 

We will put cooking as part of each meeting going forward.  Scoutmaster will
begin bringing food for recipes and show cooking skills.  Patrols will then
show their skills by making recipes and each patrol will graduate with a new
dutch oven.

 

Tonight speaker Paul J. Andert, WWII veteran, will be speaking tonight.

 

Scoutmaster conferences for Max and Garrison tonight.

 

Philmont meeting tonight to determine Crew leaders, etc.

 

Committee meeting tonight.  Leaders will be in another room.

 

Robotics contest on Thursday, February 27th, to begin the robotics merit
badge.

 

OA elections will be on March 3rd meeting if possible.

 

Scout Sunday is this week, Sunday, February 23rd.  Meeting at the church at
10:30 and attend the 11:00 service in full uniform.  This helps show our
appreciation for our chartered organization and they can show their support
of us.
