<DIV>Some of the scouts have expressed an interest in going to Sea Base in
2015. I am writing to gauge troop interest in making a return trip to the
Florida Keys (our last trip was the Out Island Adventure in June of 2011).
I am proposing that we take the Keys Adventure which is a 5-day trip that
includes snorkeling, fishing, deep sea fishing, ocean kayaking, a night on
Munson Island, and a day in Key West. The Keys Adventure includes one
night on Monson Island (weather permitting) with the remainder spent in the
barracks (air conditioned) at the Brinton Environmental Center. The
description of the activity is available at this link –> <A

<DIV>The costs of the adventure is $815 plus the cost to travel to and from the
Florida Keys. The last time we went we flew in to Fort Lauderdale; rented
vans; and spent the night in a church hall. As I recall travel costs were
about $600.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>I think we can subsidize the cost with fundraising (our Applebee’s Flapjack
Fundraisers have been profitable) to reduce the costs.</DIV>
<DIV> </DIV>
<DIV>At this point I am trying to get a headcount. The lottery signup ends
February 15 and I need to know how many crews to request – crews include 6 youth
and 2 adults. We can always return unused treks but it is difficult to get
more once the lottery is complete.</DIV>

<DIV>Please respond to <A href="mailto:eoprice@cox.net">eoprice@cox.net</A> to
register your interest in going.</DIV>
