Here are a few things discussed at Monday night's meeting:

Spring Court of Honor
This event honors the Scouts for their work on merit badges and rank advancement achieved during the last 6 months. It's a big deal and we want to celebrate with parents if they can be there. Following the awards ceremony, we will be serving ice cream and we have asked the Scouts to each bring a topping: brownies, cookies, fruit, gummies, M&M's, etc. The Troop will provide all the eating and serving utensils along with the ice cream, carmel and fudge sauce. Please plan to attend with your son to celebrate his achievement.

Camp Hale
We are still accepting deposits/payments for Camp Hale. Final payment is due at the meeting on April 29th. Scouts are $225 and adults are $175. If you are planning to use Scout Account funds, I just need that information.

Camp Card Sales
We will be winding up camp card sales with the Jenks Herb & Plant Festival on April 27th. All money and any unsold cards still held by Scouts need to be returned by the meeting on April 22nd. We have to account for every card, so any unsold cards not returned by the 22nd will be charged against the scout's account -- so please return all money and camp cards by April 22nd! Anyone selling 25 camp cards is entered into a drawing for a $25 Wal-Mart gift card. The scout office gives away one/week -- and Zach Uhren won this week!

Jenks Herb Festival
The Herb Festival is April 26 (setup) and April 27th (sales). It involves the sale of bottled sodas (and camp cards) from a booth at the festival. All proceeds go to help off-set the High Adventure trip planned this summer to Northern Tier. While everyone going on the trip is expected to help, those not going this summer are still encouraged to participate. They have a lot of fun and supporting each other is a big part of being a Scout. If your scout is available to volunteer some of his time Friday or SAturday night, please let Wayne Evans know.

A few other notes:

T-shirts
Last summer, we collected information and money for a t-shirt order that was never made -- but we will be placing an order to get ready for Camp. Boys must wear a Scout shirt or a plain t-shirt every day at camp, so the t-shirts are useful. We will have more details on this at Monday's meeting. If you need to check on what you previously ordered and make changes or if you want to place a new order, we will take that information through the month of April.

Clothes Closet
If you have scout pants, shorts or shirts that you have outgrown, please consider bringing them with you next week for the clothes closet. For those scouts planning to attend camp who may need additional clothing, we will have a hand-me-down sale mid-May to put those outgrown clothes to good use!

Have a great week. We look forward to seeing everyone next Monday night.
