[Bsa-troop85] PLC Meeting for Sept. 2nd, 2013

Dylan Hurt can be there.  He was in Pack 285 so we will get him to Jenks east about 6:15.  However, Melissa and I have a major committement at 7:00 (my mom's 70th birthday).  We would need someone to take him home.  We live at 34th and 129th.  If no one can take him he will not be able to be there.  If you can help it would be appreciated.

Rally nights for Packs:

Need boys and adults at two locations this Thursday, September 5th

1)       Pack 285/785 @ 6:30pm, Jenks East Cafeteria,

2)      Pack 585 @ 6:30pm, Jenks Southeast


There is another Rally for Pack 385 on September 12th at Jenks West, Cafeteria, Bldg C

Expect to be there about 1 hour and the possible duties we might have are:

Duties include:
1.  assisting with Flip Chart (if needed)
2.  gathering completed Youth Applications
3.  Collecting Scout Fee
4.  Picking up sign-in sheet (provided by district)
5.  Returning all materials (handbooks, Youth Applications, Scout Fees, sign-in sheet & flip chart) to Scout Office the next day.

My guess is that we will not be doing #5.  Adults will assist with the Adult portion of the Rally night – not to speak, but to assist however we can and to look pretty.
Boys will likely be with the cub scouts and will be establishing relationships with the cub scouts.

For the troop, we want to get names, numbers, and email addresses of the Webelos I & II den leaders and invite them to spend Saturday night with us at WOW Webelos Outdoor Weekend on October 12th and 13th.  PLEASE REPLY WITH WHICH LOCATION(S) YOU CAN ATTEND.

Ideas for Webelos visits were discussed.

Questions that boys will be asked while selling popcorn was discussed.

There will be an Assistant Scoutmaster/Parent meeting on Saturday, September 7th at the home of the Wrights.  A separate email will go out giving additional information on this meeting.  The SPL and ASPL are invited to attend this meeting.

Boys can sell popcorn on their own as well as when we sell them as a troop.
