Hello, Everyone:

We will be planning the campout tonight so I need to know all the adults
that can attend. I will not be able to attend the campout, so arrangements
for the trailer also need to be considered. Adults should bring $20 for
food and boys should bring $15.

The following weekend is the Jenks Herb Festival in which the Philmont-bound
boys and adults sell drinks and finance some of their trip. If you can
assist, they can be service hours. If you will be going to the Festival,
please come and have a root beer from our stand. Encourage others to do the
same.

May 2nd - 4th is the next campout at Camp Garland. This is the annual
Webelos Outdoor Weekend. We will be teaching the Handyman activity pin and
getting our troop out in front of the Webelos groups. Please consider
attending that campout. We can use additional adults to meet and greet
other adults from Packs that can sell our troop to potential candidates.
The theme for the campout is Jurassic Park. Should be a lot of fun.

Philmont-bound boys should be hitting the practice hikes between one and
three times a week to be prepared for the trip. Parents, if you and your
younger son want to attend and stay physically fit, let me know and I can
ask the treks to send out general emails. They will be hiking with their
backpacks and increasing amounts of weight, but you would not be required to
do so. It may be a good way for Xbox boys to get some exercise.

Lastly, we need to get updated medical forms for Hale Scout Ranch and
everything else that we do. Attached, please find the medical forms. If
your boys is doing Hale or Philmont, they have to have Part C completed as
well.

Is there someone who has a boy going to Jenks High School that can schedule
pool usage with the swim coach? We could use two dates.one during the week
and one on a weekend. We usually use the old pool and only need 2-3 lanes
for about an hour. let me know. We need to schedule swim tests.

That is all for now. Have a great week!

Yours in Scouting,

Don Curry
