Hello All:

 

We will be starting up again with regular meetings on Monday, January 5th,
2015 @ 7pm.  I would very much appreciate if all the assistant scoutmasters
and parents who would like to assist the troop would come to this meeting.
I would like to do some organizing for the adults.

 

The meeting will concentrate on elections for leadership positions within
the troop.  All boy and adult leaders need to have gone through or will go
through the following course:

 

 


Train the Trainer Conference & Trainer's EDGE

--   Training Techniques, Skills, & Knowledge for Scouting's Leadership   --

Trainer's EDGE is the principles used for trainers as they teach others. As
trainers develop their training skills, Trainer's EDGE provides an
additional opportunity for trainers to enhance their abilities. Trainer's
EDGE also supplements the training development sessions offered during
faculty development for advanced leadership training courses and increased
familiarity with the EDGE model that is used throughout the training.

Fee:  Free (a free will donation will be asked to donate to the church)

Advance registration is required, no later than Friday, Jan. 16, 2015

This course will not be breaking for an offsite lunch hour, so you will need
to bring your lunch with you. With the team as the audience and feedback
group, each participant will give a 10-12 min. presentation on a Scouting
topic of their choice.  You may use any media you choose (must bring

On the 12th, the troop leadership will conduct a Troop Leadership Training.
They will also plan the following campout, Trapper's Rendezvous, that takes
place the following weekend, January 16th - 18th.  More information about

This is a great campout and requires a bit more preparation on the boys'
part.  

 

PLEASE DETERMINE IF YOU AND YOUR SON(S) CAN GO TO THIS CAMPOUT FOR THE
MEETING ON THE 5th.  This is important as it requires registration and
planning.  Everyone has a great time, and the boys get to do some incredible
trading.  Ask them about what they've heard.
